Time flies…again another holiday is here. I m in Indo now with my family. Before the holiday, i was so excited to come back but when i m back in Indo, there’re not much excitement. The feeling is gone. Unexplainable. I m feeling emptiness now, i m not as happy as i thought i would be before the holiday. hahaha…Anyway, my place is so behind time. There’s still a place where the whole town have no electricity. I m also not sure what happened. There was no news that the electricity will be cut off until now. It has been 5 days that we dont have electricity. Luckily, our family owns our own motor that able to supply electricity. At least, we dont have to live in the dark where some families do. So unfortunate. Now, the whole town is looking for oil but there’s no more oil available to buy. We also dont know when the electricity will be back. Hope will be soon. if not, we really have to live in the dark. hais…MY place is a small town. We dont have airport, no cars. We do have tricyles, bicycles, motorcycles (all the cycles) hahahah…a very ‘kuno’ town. So experiencing electricity cut-off is common and not surprising. Anyway…this is the place where i grew up so no matter what, i sitll have to come back here. huahuahuahuahua…

I feel so fortunate. No one would have guessed that i can go to Melbourne to study based on my family background. How lucky i am. My parents came from a very small kampung, no one would have heard of, it is called kampung terus. At that time, my parents have to work so hard to earn money. My dad worked multiple jobs in order to earn more money to support the family. My dad had to support my grandfather who took opium, my grandma, and his 3 sisters and 3 brothers. An egg to them is already a very good food. My dad, in order to save money, didn’t want to eat just a bowl of wanton noodle. Then they moved to Selatpanjang, a small island, where i was raised up. The life here is simple, most of the people open their own shop so there is no need to study so much. Due to the demonstration in Indonesia, I was sent to Singapore to study. I feel so lucky to be able to study in Singapore because it changed my life since then. I became a better person, i can think for myself and be independent. Little do i know that i would go to Melbourne to study because to people in Selatpanjang, it is already very good enough to study in Singapore. I feel so fortunate and i love my life now. Thanks to my father and my mother.
